Description: Bug report
Issue:
Ie please explain
a) if a rate updates on porta on 1st input or if it uses scheduler;
b) If the rules apply on second input and update
c) appending rates/rules are immediate on on scheduler
We will adapt our input order of how we input on the edit all accordingly
The reason explained
On the Tariff update the adding of destinations appears to be inconsistant, or at least possibly not explained.
Maybe there was a spooling of old values we did not understand properly?
As per email examples (under full production test done)
Some times if an old record was added before (possibly without a DB refresh); it DID update porta one.
Some times on first update the record does update immediately – without being on a scheduler (other times not).
The issue around needing clarity on this is because when updating especially with (see other ticket on edit all rule); you would filter by a name and fill in the bulk of the tariff rules or base rates; immediately after you would refilter by a ‘main provider name’ that may happen to contain the same filter text as the previous input but would be different, and having to immediately override the value.
We need clarity on the behavior as we CAN first filter by main provider; then the rest if it is a first update thing; we just need clarity on the first input behavior because of the inconsistencies observed or at the very least possibly not understood.
Example—-
a) Wispernet – Geographic was on 0.23; I changed it to 0.14; no effect on Porta One; see the previous questions in this regard
b) Jenny – Non Geographic was first today inputted to 0.14 then I changed it to 0.18
see the previous questions in this regard (The info Bubble is the same whether or Not you add a rate for the 1st time or change it) – The previous question was is this scheduler on second input if so why on previous examples did it change on the second input please see below
